Itinerary
Day 1: Hanoi - Ninh Binh (Mua Cave - Hoa Lu - Tam Coc)
- 7:00 AM – 7:30 AM: Vehicle and guide pick up guests in the Hanoi Old Quarter and depart for Ninh Binh. Along the way, the vehicle will stop at a rest area for breakfast (own expense).
- After approximately 2 hours of driving, we arrive at the first sightseeing destination: Hoa Lu Ancient Capital, the first capital of the centralized Vietnamese feudal state.
- Guests visit Hoa Lu Ancient Capital, the capital of Dai Co Viet over 10 centuries ago. The ancient capital covers over 300 hectares, stretching across the villages of Chi Phong, Yen Thanh, and Yen Thuong in Truong Yen commune, Hoa Lu district. In Hoa Lu Ancient Capital, guests will admire the majestic scenery and rich history of the nation during the reign of the Dai Co Viet kings over 10 centuries ago. After the guide’s introduction to Hoa Lu Ancient Capital, guests will continue to visit the two historical sites: King Dinh’s Temple and King Le’s Temple, built in the 17th century, showcasing exquisite wood and stone carvings. The vehicle will then proceed to Hang Mua Cave.
- 11:15 AM: Guests begin their ascent of Mount Mua to conquer Ngọa Long Peak – a must-see for anyone visiting Ninh Binh. This is an opportunity for guests to test their stamina by climbing the mountain, traversing 486 stone steps, with ancient walls covered in moss firmly connecting the foot to the peak of the mountain, reminiscent of the Great Wall of China, and surrounded by a majestic mountain range.
- 1:00 PM: After the sightseeing, guests will board the vehicle to a restaurant for lunch (buffet/set menu) featuring local specialties such as venison, crispy rice, and more.
- 2:30 PM: Guests take a boat trip to visit Tam Coc. Tam Coc means three caves: the First Cave, the Second Cave, and the Third Cave. Visiting Tam Coc involves a unique waterway, taking approximately two hours. Traditional boats will take guests to the First Cave, the largest and most beautiful, measuring 127 meters in length, nestled beneath a large mountain that spans the Ngo Dong River. Guests will experience the fresh, cool air of the countryside as they delve into the cave, marveling at the stalactites cascading from the cave ceiling, glittering like exquisite jewels. The journey continues through the water to the Second and Third Caves. Similar to the First Cave, which is likened to a rainbow stretching along the Ngo Dong Riverbanks, the remaining caves are equally magnificent.
- 5:00 PM: The vehicle takes guests back to the hotel for rest and dinner.

- Next is the bell tower, home to the largest bell in Southeast Asia, intricately decorated, and featuring two sutras inscribed in Chinese characters.
